Trailer (http://www.slashfilm.com/mirror-mirror-trailer-debuts-ellen/)

Hmmmm. Neither of these films look good. I wish we could put Theron's queen into this movie. I dig the Gilliam-like tone of this film more than the gritty action-fest of the other one. Still...

What the fuck was that.

That is a stinker. Man. What a bummer.

So, so awful.

This was the one I was originally hopeful about. Rats.

There's a difference between making a film for children and making a film that is ridiculous.

It just seems like a horribly put together trailer all around. I doubt this movie is as comedic as it lets on and they felt that the best way to differentiate it from The Huntsman was to market it from that angle by editing something with as many broad and silly moments into it.

Having said that, I'm considerably less excited about it now.

Hmm, I'm beginning to suspect that Armie Hammer's post-TSN work may not live up to his Winklevii roles.

As long as he's shirtless, I will not be complaining.

Why can't they just make a traditional live-action story with exceptional art design and vision? This looks like it belongs in the same barrel as Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Right down to the miscast superstar.

WTF Tarsem?

Julia Roberts is such a crappy actress. It amazes me that there are those that think otherwise.

I like Tarsem. I support him. So why is this...

Plus, Tarsem said he has been working on it (the idea, anyway) for over 20 years. It [The Fall] is the only film he has ever wanted to make.

I'm beginning to believe that is still true.

The Disney Channel called, it wants its mid-90s TV-movie back.

Script looks terrible, I'm still going to see it. I like Snow White's eyebrows in this. The visuals look interesting enough to merit watching it. What I'm really going to be interested in is the pacing.

This could be more on the level of an episode of Jim Henson's The Storyteller than a Disney channel movie... and as such I think it deserves at least a little bit of an open mind.

Fuck, I'm a huge Tarsem fan.

Cool trivia: Apparently it's a reference to a line from Scarface!

WHY HAS NO OTHER MOVIE MADE THIS JOKE BEFORE

It's only thanks to her celeb brother Eric that she's even able to find work!

They really pulled that reference from the back logs of cinematic history. Wonder if anyone will get the joke.

I'll see the other one.

"... the untold story of Snow White." It looks like it really should've stayed that way.

This lady that I thought I used to know watched the trailer. She was like "they had me at 'snow way!'"

I am so sad.

I've never really thought about her acting one way or the other. She's just there, like a sofa. But I just went through her imdb to see if I could find a performance of hers I actually enjoyed, and came up blank.

Seems I'm the only one who thought she was easily the highlight of that otherwise disastrous trailer?

I didn't think she was even remotely funny.

Snow White is pretty. That's all I've got.

Regardless of how awesome the British dudes in the other one are, I like that the dwarfs are a cast of actual little people.

She wasn't very funny, but her bitter one-liners were a bit more amusing than the otherwise horrid Friedberg/Seltzer-esque "jokes."

Yep. All things being the same, if you simply removed Roberts from this film I'd be 100 times more likely to see it.

I also said something similar - that he could have simply retired after The Fall, because that is the only film he, or anyone, ever needs to make.

Surely you've seen her revelatory turn in Stepmom.

I'm looking forward to the other one way more. It could actually have some bite to it. By comparison, this looks like someone is gumming your arm and won't stop even when you politely ask.

In Tarsem we trust.. I guess.

I just wish he'd do that Hamlet adaptation that was rumored years ago.

If he's going to do Shakespeare he should do one with fantastical elements. Like The Tempest or A Midsummer Night's Dream.
