"Eye Know" is a great pick. A classic hip hop tune.

Been listening to a lot of De La lately...mainly De La Soul is Dead.

Ya, their first three albums are pretty much unassailably perfect

And I'll take whatever excuse I can get to post this gem

"Boots of Spanish Leather" - Bob Dylan (heartbreaking)
"These Arms of Mine" - Otis Redding
"I Want You Around" - The Ramones
"No One's Gonna Love You" - Band of Horses
"Wrong to Love You" - Chris Isaak
"I Love You For Sentimental Reasons" - Nat King Cole
"I'll Be Seeing You" - Billie Holiday
"I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl" - Nina Simone (borderline, but sooooo sexy)

That's all I got for now. I know there's more, but that's the best I can do off the top of my head.

Yeah. Sometimes I wonder though...was the genius behind these albums because of De La Soul, or because of Prince Paul?

The first few that come immediately to my mind fare:

Bobby Darin - More
Pet Shop Boys - Liberation

Pet Shop Boys - Liberation

I was trying to think of a PSB song, but most of them are so sarcastic. They seem to be more about post-break-ups than love. However, Liberation is good, and I also think that "October Symphony" is really romantic.

like the melancholy and reflective tone of Being Boring, the boyish innocence of Heart Beat and the urgency of Love Comes Quickly - also great love songs by The PSB, but Liberation is their most sincere in my opinion.

Did You See Me Coming?
Great song, can't believe I forgot about that one.

I love how it gives radio DJs such a heard time. Is it THE The or The THE?

It's somewhat off topic, but reading this thread reminds me why I don't post in this particular section.

Of all the songs mentioned, I've heard of two of them.

When it comes to music, I feel like a philistine

Aw, that can easily be fixed. Most of the songs can be listened to via a simple youtube search.
