Just what is the best Criterion Cover

Everyone admires Criterion Covers as being the best of the best. Many lists are made. Others compose what should be Criterion simply for cover art.

Well, time to settle it.

I randomly assorted all the titles into one big deathmatch. This is going to take a while, but it should be fun. I'll let each round go for a few days or until voting declines, and post the next set, and onwards until we finish.

Simply choose which title you prefer.

IMO.I think for the most part they have gotten better over the years. The first couple hundred aren't much to look at with the exception of maybe a handful. Still they "phone in" a lot of the covers (especially DVDs that are packaged as a box set), and get kudos for the ones they seem to try harder on.
