The movie follows the story, make that urban legend about Apollo 18. The moon mission back in the day that was cancelled, but the urban legend crew claim it actually happened and by all accounts (here comes more Urban Legend) video footage of alien life was brought back to earth

Viral video here (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xfr537_strange-viral-video_shortfilms) <-- sorta NSFW

At first I thought this was some bullshit sequel to Apollo 13 . Then I thought it was going to have something to do with Stanley Kubrick shooting footage in the Arizona desert of a fake moon landing.

But .. have to admit, the aliens on the moon idea is actually a decent premise. Based on that alone, I'd give this a go on InstantWatch (meaning, I watch it without putting out any effort or overtly spending any money).

That's the single most boring viral video I've ever seen.

I like the idea though.

Is this actually an urban legend?

This is the first time I've ever heard of this.

I'm fairly certain they made it up.

Ummm, that is NOT a viral video for this movie. That's part of a web hoax from a couple of years ago about Apollo 20, as it fucking says on the title card.

Jesus christ, movie blogs these days.

Looks like Blair Witch on the Moon... Although it would be cooler if there were witches on the moon

60 Greatest Conspiracies of All Time, one of my favorite books (and a endless source of entertainment for me-I don't even believe in most of the theories mentioned, but they're fun to read) touched upon the idea that really we found life on the moon, and it was covered up, blah blah.

I'll have to watch the trailer when I get home. Stupid library computers lacking Quicktime.

Yeah, pretty bad. Used a free ticket to feel a time dilation effect as this 85 minute movie just dragged on.

And when the creatures are revealed, it's laughable. Rock monsters. They're literally attacked by the avante garde sculptures from Beetlejuice. And naturally, they can procreate inside our bodies. Because rock monsters need biological matter to reproduce. Even though our characters are among the first of another species ever encountered by the rock monsters. Seriously, why do so many movie alien species need us for procreation?

Some effective moments. A wasted premise for what could have been a good claustrophobic thriller, but too much of it is, again, laughable.

that sums up my impressions about pretty much every one of those faux reality horrors, except for REC, which i loved.

You anticipated otherwise?

Well I get too excited for movies I suppose, hence this thread I made. It was nothing like I was hoping it would be.

This was waste of time.

It really was. Watched Apollo 18 the other day, and it bored me to death.

I'm beginning to think that this found-footage-thing is used to disguise how bad the movies are.

A friend actually spoilered this movie for me, and I thanked them for it after hearing what really happens. Yikes. Saved me the time I would have wasted watching it.
