Not sure on Metropolitan. I've went to watch a movie on instant and the audio was off horribly and went back to watch over a year later and it not have been fixed and all the comments were complaining about it.

The problem I had was quickly resolved. When I reported the sound being off on the deadmau5 Meowington's Hax 2K11 concert a few months ago, it came back a month later, sound completely in sync.

I've been having strange problems with Netflix lately. I watched an episode of Mad Men and it played just fine, then I tried to watch an episode of Star Trek: TNG and it was constantly stopping every few seconds and taking a very long time to start again. I didn't even make it to the opening credits. So I decided to watch an episode of Breaking Bad instead, and it played just fine.
There are so many steps before a show gets from Netflix to my TV (internet - wireless - Roku - TV), but I'm thinking it must be Netflix that's the problem if it's not happening to every show.

I know it's been going on for months, and it's already been mentioned here, but I'm really annoyed with how they minimize the screen the instant the end credits start. I don't mind this so much for TV shows, but when I'm watching a movie, sometimes I like to take few seconds to reflect on what I've just seen as the credits roll and not instantly be bombarded WITH OTHER THINGS I MIGHT LIKE immediately after the final frame. For fuck's sake, Netflix, give me a second.

Yeh but that feature is especially awesome because it doesn't even play the credit all the way through if you're watching multiple episodes back to back. That should be a feature you can check/uncheck in the settings though.

I found it meh - the film felt too preachy as if the characters were just voicing the writer's opinions. The lead actor was great in this though which is what kept me interested. I loved his other two films though. This was a great concept but it didn't fully work for me.

I'd say so. I don't like politics at all, but the characters and dialogue kept me engaged. It's also very funny in that Sorkin kind of way, of course. I can only vouch for the first three seasons, though. I hear it took a slight dip in quality after Sorkin left.

And here's the retaliation.
HBO today has won a battle in the over-the-top content wars. The pay-TV giant has inked a deal with Universal Pictures that extends Universal Pictures’ and Focus Features’ films appearing on HBO’s TV, online and mobile platforms in the U.S. for the next decade. What’s key is that the deal is exclusive to HBO and will mean that Netflix (and other OTT players) will not get that content: “Yes, it is exclusive. Netflix can’t touch it,” a spokesperson told TechCrunch. HBO also has exclusive deals with Fox, Warner Bros, and Summit, in addition to Universal.

It means it doesn't matter, because people who want to see their content will get it by the easiest means necessary. Check Netflix. Not there? Check Hulu. Not there? Checked out at Redbox/video store? Fuck it, Pirate Bay.
They're still playing by the old rules.

I own every season of that show aside from the currently airing fourth season. My entire family absolutely loves it, wife included (who usually doesn't go for that sort of thing). It would be cool if, within a television series, you could get a "shuffle" option.

I've noticed that habit... They also remove the classic horror movies in October and restore them later. I think it might be some kinda mandate by the studios to force them to buy the DVDs on those special occasions?

You can look up film titles and find out where it's available and for how much. The service searches across a multitude of sites, including Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, iTunes, Crackle, and Vudu.
Some of the information can be out of date, but it's helpful if you're trying to find out whether something is available for streaming at all, or if you're looking to shop around on price.

I really like Love Exposure, but I can't pretend it flew by. Still, I've seen a number of films an hour shorter that have felt just as long. He miraculously manages to keep it lively and coherent even if it's a sprawling mess. Noriko's is only a shade past 2 1/2 hours and I loved every minute of it. Unlike LE, it gets better as it goes along.

That's too bad about PPG, but IIRC, Dexter's original run was only 2 seasons. They revived it several years later in the early 2000s, but without the original creative team, because by that point, Genndy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken and Seth MacFarlane all had their own new shows.
