Woo hoo.

I sure hope the hottie is not exposed to be shallow, selfish and conceited.

And I sure hope the nottie doesn't have deeper qualities such as intellilgence and a good heart that paradoxically make her the true hottie.

And I sure hope that the nottie doesn't get a makeover at some point that allows the rest of the world to see the beauty that she has always possessed within.

And I sure hope that the hottie never gets her comeuppance by having garbage or animal feces dumped on her, allowing the rest of the world to see the ugliness she has always possessed within.

Other than that ... Oscar bait.

DID YOU KNOW?

The nottie in the upcoming film The Hottie and the Nottie is played not by a nottie, but by a real-life hottie?

How'd they do it? A little thing we like to call 'movie magic'.

It's pretty funny how the nottie is actually hotter than the hottie in real life.

Mildly amusing trailer, it'll be horrible, but if it's the opposite of the usual hot/not cliches in movies like this, like the ones Spinal stated, it could at least be redeemable in that regard.

The Hottie and The Naughty. Easiest porn title conversion ever.

The Hottie and The Naughty. Easiest porn title conversion ever.

Good catch. Perhaps this means that 'The Hottie' in the Hilton film is also 'The Haughty', thus making her ultimately undesirable despite her hotness.

Who's the lead actor in that movie? I've actually found him funny in a lot of bad movies. This will continue that streak, and I'll surely come across it on a very boring HBO day.

Remember when Philip Seymour Hoffman was cast as the slobby sidekick who lectured the charming lead on how to get women?

That was weird.

Nothing says "I Love You" on Valentines Day like watching chihuahua-face try and act.

He was just in Hatchet and he's starring in James Cameron's Avatar. This may be one of those things that will be seriously mocked in ten or so years when he actually has a career.

He just did it again in Charlie Wilson's War. The woman is America.

Ah. Thank you. Hopefully after Avatar he either gets better roles sent to him, or he gets a better agent.

A more impressive feat would be to make Paris Hilton actually look "hot".

There are times where I'm thankful for not having to be a film critic for magazine/paper/internet. That would be one of them.

Although it'll probably be fun to bash in the end after the ninety minutes of torture.

That trailer made me physically ill inside. Not because of the nottie-ness of the nottie, but because of the idea being stretched to the point of parody and still having the ball-less balls to declare itself serious.

So Harvard has officially lost all respectability, as it is awarding Paris Hilton "Woman of the Year".

Satire, my friend. The Harvard Lampoon is naming her Woman of the Year, not Harvard.

Really? The article on IMDb simply says she's "heading to Harvard to receive the award".

I suppose this makes more sense, though. It was a little jarring to read that such a prestigious school would give an award like that to such a worthless abomination of flesh.

In any case, does anyone else think it would be really funny if this film avoided all role reversal clichés and just shit on the Nottie the entire running time? I mean, at least it would avoid the hypocrisy. You could even commend it for being an honest movie.

I'm really sorry, guys.

I was supposed to go see this in 30 minutes. But it's raining very hard tonight, and I got as far as the front door, standing in the cold with an unopened umbrella in my hand, before I silently said to myself, "What am I doing? Life is way too short for Paris Hilton" and quietly walked back inside.

I might be able to forgive you, in time.

I think you fulfilled your bad-movie-quota for us when you saw both Untraceable and Rambo.

So I suppose we can let it slide...just this once...

Until that time of forgiveness, I wait in repentance with a cup of cocoa and steaming bowl of Mac and Cheese. Perhaps I'll watch a leaked copy of Justice League New Frontiers. Or build a dam.

:) Mac and cheese is one of the foods of the Gods, so I suppose your forgiveness may come sooner than expected.

And awesome news with the leaked JL: New Frontiers - I eagerly await your thoughts. The screenshots/clips I've seen definitely show some beautiful animation.

I just want to say, that my theatre was unfortunately booked with this. However, combined Friday & Sunday we only sold 8 tickets for both days. :pritch:

Yeah, when Step Up 2 The Streetz gets $20 million this weekend, it'll all even out.I don't think we need to go that far even. Fool's Gold was #1 in the USA with 22 million dollars this weekend. I'd rather see Step Up 2 The Streets three times than Fool's Gold once.

Also, genocide.

PS: I think I'd rather see The Hottie & the Nottie than Fools Gold.
