• What's the most inventive movie death in a horror movie?
The last twenty minutes of Braindead have a lot. Alternatively, Johnny Depp swallowed by his bed in Nightmare on Elm Street.

"I lied" from Commando.

• Who are the most unlikely screen couple in a romance?
WALL-E and Eve.

I find this one very hard. I doubt we'll ever see something like Escape from New York in real life, but then again, that movie predicted Twin Tower suicide plane crashing, so...
• What's the most flaw-ridden – but successful – crime scheme?
Bah, basically any American caper movie is like this. The Sting comes to mind.
• What's the best arthouse film that makes no sense whatsoever?
Pistol Opera seems like a popular answer but I haven't seen it - only Princess Raccoon which is a laugh. I'm gonna go with Happiness of the Katakuris.

• What's the most quotable pay-off line in an action film?

• What's the most perfectly constructed sight gag in a comedy film?

I'd have to go with Harold and Maude as well
• What's the most outrageous prediction for the future made in a sci-fi film?
Any Star Trek film. Seriously, I love the movies and the TV show, but a future where the world has stopped using money and all nations fly under one flag and work toward a common good? Sorry. Maybe I'm too cynical, but I can't see that happening.

• What's the most outrageous prediction for the future made in a sci-fi film?
I'm only going to answer this one right now: In Things to Come, it is predicted that, in the future, buildings will no longer need to have windows because they will all have electric lights instead.

• What's the most inventive movie death in a horror movie?
The lady's eye through the pointy piece of wood kill from Zombi 2 (for its time)
• What's the most quotable pay-off line in an action film?
I could write a book of the most quotable pay-off lines on Arnold Schwarzenegger films alone. For example:
1) "Screw You!" - Total Recall
2) "You're Fired!" - True Lies
3) "You're One Ugly Motherfucker!" - Predator
4) "Wong!" - The Terminator
5) "He had to let off some steam" - Commando
6) "Remember when I said I would kill you last? I LIED." - Commando
7) "Who is your daddy, and what does he do?" - Kindergarten Cop
8) "Now that hit the spot!" - Running Man
9) "Leave ze gun, take zeh Canoleze" - Zeh Godfazzah
10) "Are zose yewer skeez? BOSE UV ZEM?!?!" - Dumbkopf und Dumbkopfa

• What's the most outrageous prediction for the future made in a sci-fi film?
Demolition Man predicted that eventually all restaurants would become Taco Bells.

• What's the most inventive movie death in a horror movie?
Maybe when the main guy strangles another guy to death with his own intestines in Riki Oh!.
• What's the most quotable pay-off line in an action film?
"Stick around!" from Predator.
• What's the most perfectly constructed sight gag in a comedy film?
I know it's slight, but when Igor hands Dr. Frankenstein his cane so he can hobble down the small flight of stairs in Young Frankenstein.
That makes me howl with laughter every time. Even thinking about it now I'm chuckling a bit.
• Who are the most unlikely screen couple in a romance?
Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson in Lost in Translation.
• What's the most outrageous prediction for the future made in a sci-fi film?
Hmmm...Fezzik certainly made a good point about the Star Trek films. I'd also say something like The Matrix/Terminator/any "man vs. machine" movie. I really have a hard time believing that any man-made machines would become sentient and turn against us.
• What's the most flaw-ridden – but successful – crime scheme?
Hmmm...maybe Inside Man?
• What's the best arthouse film that makes no sense whatsoever?
I'm partial to Inland Empire.

You think Inland Empire makes "no sense whatsoever"?
No, but it's certainly a maze of a film that requires some deconstructive thought.
I don't think I've ever seen a single movie that actually made "no sense whatsoever" if we're talking about a literal interpretation of those words. That would be like, I dunno...a film that's nothing but a series of random sounds and images or something.
In which case I'd have no real interest in seeing it.

I think Funky Forest would be my choice for the best arthouse movie that makes "no sense whatsoever" because even though I think all movies make sense to some degree, Funky Forest is so oddly structured and edited together that sketches ultimately only make sense individually, as the whole of the movie exists as a promotion of its own utter absurdness.

• What's the most inventive movie death in a horror movie?
I'll go with the lawnmower sequence at the end of Braindead
• What's the most perfectly constructed sight gag in a comedy film?
Almost anything from Playtime, but I'll go with the neighboring apartments at night off the top of my head.
• Who are the most unlikely screen couple in a romance?
Saddam Hussein and Satan from South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.
• What's the best arthouse film that makes no sense whatsoever?
Cremaster 3 - like Inland Empire, it operates on its own internal logic and tackles fascinating ideas, but yeah, it's fucked up enough to fit here.
