Does watching Yogi Bear 3D on DVD on my 2D tv even count as seeing Yogi Bear 3D? Clearly, I'd be missing out on one dimension of the fun, but what else?

I kinda don't understand why they insist on hiring celebrity voices instead of voice actors who can actually, you know, reproduce Yogi and Booboo's voices.

Just kidding. I know why. Today's kids won't really nostalgically remember the voices of the old HB cartoons. They're more likely to accept the recognizable voice of a contemporary actor they're familiar with. Like Dan Akroyd.

I'm enjoying the story I just made up about how Dan Aykroyd was mildly drunk at party and was doing his Yogi Bear impression which wasn't very good, but had a couple of suits at Warner Bros. in painful laughing fits. They were like "Dude, we totally have the rights to that" and they signed him on the spot. Justin Timberlake walked in, high as a kite, and Dan Aykroyd said to him "Hey Boo-boo! They're gonna make a movie about the smarter-than-your-average bear." And Timberlake couldn't remember what Boo-boo sounded like, so he's like "that's great, Yoga" and a contract was forced into his hand by a suit and he signed it. Then stone cold sober Eric Brevig came in to collect the empty glasses and he was like "and I'll direct!" and he got signed, too. "Get my assistant!" cried the suits in unison.

And the next morning, the ball just kept rolling as everyone involved wondered "my god, what have I done?" Except Eric Brevig.

This thread is remarkable awesome, but not as awesome as that trailer. Which was, like AW3SUM. Because there was a part where he was water skiing! But he's a bear. And then he's like, "Does this make me look fat?" and it's funny because he really is fat. And there's that one guy who looks like Colin Hanks but isn't. And that one girl who is Anna Farris and I'd just about given up on her as an actress, because despite being cute and having good comic timing, she has always seemed to have rotten taste in projects. But that trailer changed my mind-- HAHAHAHA lunchbox.

Actually, I remember when I first started posting here, like a clumsy baby attempting to walk for the first time, I started an introduction thread in General Discussion and likely made an ass out of myself the first -- oh, who am I kidding, I've been making an ass of myself since day 1. Thankfully, I may have made 1 or 2 people laugh once, so that makes it worth it. What were we talking about? Oh yeah, my first avatar was made by someone here of a cap from Winter Light. Then I learned of the 2 minutes of effort it took to make your own and never looked back. So, in conclusion, rep to Derek for saving me that 2 minutes of effort and anyone else that bothered to read this spiel.

"Look at this bear. His face the visage of natural peace; his eyes revealing passionate violence and the deepest reaches of hell. The virus of mankind has encroached upon his kingdom, bringing with it the promises of the pick-a-nic basket; an abundant cornucopia of sustenance hitherto unknown to the bear.
