Trailer (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809823663/video/5479717)

Looks a lot like Clooney imitating the Coens (which of course is never a bad thing).

Yeah, thought so too. Looks moderately funny, but meh. Goodnight was a Clooney film right? That was pretty damn good and didn't really come from a Coens or Soderbergh influence.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much Zellweger.

I keep forgetting this movie is coming, and every time I'm reminded, I'm delighted. Clooney's proved himself a skilled director and this looks different enough to warrant my attention. Also, Clooney. I mean, y'know, Clooney.

I don't really see much of the Coens in that. I did think Clooney was trying to be Cary Grant a couple of times (especially when he said "It's too bad we know each other so well...").

Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much Zellweger. That's the last thing I want to see, although she failed to ruin Cinderella Man. The only film I've found her to be decent in so far was Chicago. She's just not a very good actress, period.

Clooney on the other hand is becoming one of my favorite actors. Anyways I saw the trailer and this film actually looks pretty funny. Plus the cast is a plus (Clooney, Price, Jim from "The Office," etc.)

Here's the trailer for the new George Clooney movie (http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/leatherheads/large.html).

And...I have zero interest in this one.

George Clooney is two for two so far. It's got a great look to it. I'm all over this.

Not bad. Looks like Clooney channeling Cary Grant, which could be fun.

I like the look and I like Clooney, but sports movies just do nothing for me.

This isn't a sports movie...

All the football in the trailer seems to say otherwise?

It's a screwball comedy ala Preston Sturges. I don't think the actual football game will be as a factor as the witty banter and playful chemistry between the three leads.

This looks to be about as much a sports movie as Horse Feathers. I've got a natural prejudice against sports movies myself, but the emphasis here looks to be decidedly character-based.

Also, I always tend to think of Clooney as a modern Cary Grant and he seems to be channeling that influence here. Nothing but a good thing.

Yeah I also agree that George Clooney is the modern day version of Cary Grant. I would have loved to see the two in a movie together, but alas that will never happen.

I don't know why the Coen's comparison but looks like a fun movie, lighthearted fluff for Clooney.
