Jacob's Ladder - 8

The former is too reliant on music and erotic tropes of the 80s, which deadens most of the psychological undercurrents, though the eroticism occasionally slips through unscathed (and becomes stronger as a result). JL comes off much stronger, and benefits from quality performances and the freaky dance scene. Slightly lame ending, though, even if it's entirely in keeping with the narrative arc.
