Oh my. I didn't think he could sink any lower than Chuck and Larry, but he did. He most certainly did.

I wonder how much input Judd Apatow had in the writing process.

Isn't it about a year too late to riff on Borat and cultural differences? And why hasn't anyone broken Schneider's ankles to keep him from desecrating any more national stereotypes?

That looks like one of the worst movies ever. The people who funded this movie would have been better off giving the money to the folks here at Match-Cut and have us make a movie. The end result couldn't be any worse. In fact I think it would be kind of awesome. Where the hell is our agent? ;)

Men will love the violent soldier stuff! Women will love the sensitive hairstyling stuff! It's politically topical! This is a film for everyone!

Except me. I'll pass.

Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, AND Mariah Carey!?

This movie. How can it fail. I ask you.

I couldn't get a good close look at her because the trailer kept going all over the place quckly like a taxi driver on speed going down an empty street. Thus I failed to realize it was her.

What in god's name was that?

What kind of accent was Sandler supposed to be doing, because it didn't sound like anything to me, let alone Israeli.

While it does look awful, of course, it doesn't look to be on a level too much lower than what Dugan and Sandler usually muck about with. In fact, I'd say its audaciously high concept gives it something of an edge.

I mean, it looks terrible, and I can't really see myself seeing it, but... y'know...

I totally wasn't into it until Rob Schneider made an appearance. I'll see anything this comic genius is in.

No. She's listed on the imdb page as rumored but she's listed in the cast on the page linked to in OP.

Finding out a few months ago that it was written by Apatow, Robert Smigel and even Sandler who hasn't written some of his own stuff like Happy Gilmore (still his best comedy in my opinion) in a long time, gave me some hope and made me think that this could be decent. Then this shows up.

Mind you, I did end up quite liking 50 First Dates after hating its trailer... so we'll see. Likely it will be as terrible as most of that was though.

The more I see trailers of this low magnitude, the more I hate the millions of people who will go see this, and especially those that will laugh.

Ugh. It looks stupid. But at least it has that Entourage girl.

Certainly not enough to even bother with it.

Looks really shitty, but the Borat meets Bruno meets Counterterrorist premise seems just odd enough that this could be amusing. Doesn't look like it has the room for sentimentality like Chuck and Larry or Click seemed to dive into, so there's mild hope.

No chance in hell I'm seeing this theatrically though.

They were accurate about what ended up being a decent, somewhat heart warming romantic comedy (and I normally hate those so I was pleasantly surprised). This film doesn't look anything but teh suck.

This interview (http://www.avclub.com/content/interview/robert_smigel/1/) with Robert Smigel has me teetering towards actually wanting to see this.

Armond disliking it is a good sign as well.

Of course, because Apatow was a co-writer.

I want to know just how much of the script Apatow wrote. As much as I like the man, I can't believe he would actually do something like this.

But Alexander Payne wrote I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, so Apatow's not the only crazy one.

If only someone had provided a link that contained that info. Oh wait! I did.

AVC: Did you do a lot of research on the Mossad before writing the film?

RS: That's where Judd was the responsible one, Judd mostly worked with us on the first draft. Then he went off to become a superstar. Remember, the first draft was written in the summer of 2000.

I'm glad I didn't pay for this one. A mostly boring film littered with fluff that didn't really warrant its runtime, with laughs I could count on one hand. I mostly forgot it all before the movie was done.

It's not insultingly bad like Click was, if that's any consolation at all.
