I actually make my own music to fall asleep to. It's one of my main tests of a good ambient album. You can download them for free, if you're interested..

Carl Sagan's Ghost - Behind Clouds (http://www.archive.org/download/behindclouds/behindclouds_vbr_mp3.zip)

Yep. If I'm not listening to CSG to fall asleep, there is a good chance I'm listening to something by Harold Budd or Brian Eno.

Mostly classic rock. Recently I discovered that Leonard Cohen worked really well. *Runs*

Explosions in the Sky or Sigur Ros. Or Chopin's Nocturnes.

Endtroducing by DJ Shadow
Pygmalion by Slowdive
Selected Ambient Works II by Aphex Twin

I gave these three a try this week and they all worked awesomely. The last in particular might give you some interesting dreams.

Sigur Ros.

Good call. Lately I've gone with Black Noise by Pantha Du Prince or Hospice by The Antlers.

Lately it has been either Bach's organ chorales or Miles Davis's In a Silent Way.

Yes yes! I prefer Spirit of Eden, but you can't go wrong with either album.

Sasha -- Airdrawndagger

(This is also my favorite music to drive to when I need to calm down, and my second favorite cd to play poker to.)
