90% of Pixar's films are better than 90% of Kurosawa's films.
That includes A Bug's Life > Seven Samurai

You could a pick a random Pixar film out of a hat and it will likely be better than your favorite film of all time.

Eisenstein pioneered montage, but Pixar perfect it.

Pixar pictures are for prepubescents and pedophiles.

That includes A Bug's Life > Seven SamuraiThis post is all kinds of wrong. Let me know when Pixar makes a movie better than The Seven Samurai. So far, they haven't (who knows, maybe Wall-E is the greatest animated movie ever-I doubt it). I've only viewed three of Kurosawa's movies, but I'm sure others also qualify.
This thread is madness, and actually makes Barty's political thread seem sane by comparison. To the exits!

Ah, you needn't worry - such a thing is scientifically impossible. I think there's a law dedicated to such a thing, somewheres.

My favorite Pixar film is Presto. Is that crazy enough?

Oh and the only Pixar movie (out of the ones viewed so far) that I've given a 100 to is Geri's Game. I love that short.
PS: I guess I failed to make it to the exit :P

Can there be an ignore function for Wats when he talks about Pixar?

The first Saturday of every month should be declared Brad Bird Day and everyone must watch The Incredibles and Ratatouille on a continuous loop from dusk till dawn.

I liked Up a great deal, more than most Match-Cutters it seems, but I'd probably rewatch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs or Coraline most days of the week. Partly Cloudy made me angry.

I don't know if I'd say A Bug's Life > Seven Samurai but I'd definitely say Wall-E > Seven Samurai. And maybe Ratatuoille.

I'm trying to think if I like any Pixar film more than any of the ten-or-so Akira Kurosawa films I've seen.
Maybe Monster's Inc. is better than... something. Maybe not.

All right, this has gone too far. I'm shutting this down. Everybody out. I need to have a word with Wats.

So says I, anyway.Alrighty then....heh.
Partly Cloudy made me angry.Where the hell is the "Puzzled" smiley when I actually need it? Why would that movie make anyone angry? It left me with a big grin on my face, and was also funny and charming to boot.

Didn't you read the Up thread? I was very annoyed with Partly Cloudy too, as was a couple others, and I remember there was a lengthy argument about it.

Honestly? Nope. I only read posts surrounding the ones I made, or ones in response to my thoughts on the movie. Which, considering I don't have time to read everything on this site, is how I approach many threads on this site. Not all of them, of course (I try to actually read most of the FDT, for instance). This also happens when I finally get around to watching a movie weeks later after everyone has, or in most cases, years later.

Your post reads like you typed it drunk. Maybe because I'm drunk.I've been accused of being both high and drunk when I was neither. So maybe it is you. Maybe I'm naturally wasted. Could be.

We need to have Madman's Thread of Crazy Ideas, or: If I Was Drunk Right Now, Which I'm Not .... As Far As You Know.Great idea for a thread title. However, I doubtful that I will:
A) Finish such a thread
B) Even bother to create it anytime soon.
:P
you're high on life, madmanDoubtful, as I'm rather a lazy human being.
