View Full Version : Match-Cut's 100 Best French (language, location) Films - Round 2 - Voting

Qrazy

The list is in more or less alphabetical order... some are in French and some are in English because I couldn't be bothered and I don't think it will mess anyone up. I'll put them all in one or the other in the final round. Voting is the usual way... make four tiers... etc. If someone wants to tell me the best way to score these things I'm all ears, my first time around forming a concensus list.

Tier I and II at seven films apiece, and Tiers III and IV at eight films apiece, giving each list 30.

How do you score? Four points for Tier one, 3 for 2, etc?

Pretty much, though I added zeroes to each of those. Something about a winner getting 58 votes depressed me. A winner getting 580, though, now we're talking.

I did 8 films in Tier I will receive 40 points each.
I did 8 films in Tier II will receive 30 points each.
I did 7 films in Tier III will receive 20 points each.
I did 8 films in Tier IV will receive 10 points each.

Looking forward to casting me ballot.

Oh, and could somebody explain the inclusion of The Dreamers? Because it certainly doesn't qualify under the language qualification. I see it has some French money in it though. Is that enough?

I ask because I'd like to vote for it, but I don't feel justified in doing so.

Qrazy

I kept the ballot inclusive so that we could all get as many recs as possible but it may not really qualify. I'll keep it on but if you don't feel comfortable voting for it, don't vote for it.
