So apparently Morgan Spurlock's new documentary is making ridiculous industry buzz, because the big speculation is that he actually found Osama.

Spurlock is declining to reveal anything, but there's a mysterious shroud to the film since studio buyers were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements just to watch a 15 minute clip from the film. All the buyers were going crazy at Berlin trying to snap this thing up, and the Weinsteins laid out the most dough. They can't talk about it, but everyone's saying that Spurlock uncovered the holy grail, and it's being said that the 15 minutes footage contains Osama's whereabouts.

I didn't like Super Size Me, but goddamn, I can't wait to see this movie. It's going to premiere in Sundance. I can imagine it being the talk of the festival.

Regardless of whether or not the speculation is true (personally I highly doubt it), I'm glad he's doing this film. Can't wait to see it.

I'm hoping Osama shows up for the screening as a surprise guest. That could be a fun Q&A.

Yeah, I highly doubt it too, and I can imagine a lot of people being disappointed, but this is easily going to be the next Fahrenheit 9/11.

I think we would've heard more if Osama was found by someone.

I wonder if the answer is going to be "behind George Bush's couch".

I heard Jenna Bush called up Osama during a taping of the Ellen show. I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

I wonder if the answer is going to be "behind George Bush's couch".He's just still hung over from the kegger. And also broke. I can foresee Osama sticking around Dubya's house in a sitcom format. In other words, a joke that would be featured on Family Guy.

Yeah, it sounds too outlandish to be possible. If he found Osama or knows where he is without disclosing that to the government (instead of making or continuing to make the film), he should be drawn and quartered in public for treason, no? Maybe he did try to tell them and they didn't listen. Either way, it's not so important to me if it's true or not.

My guess is it was a hoax, or a look-a-like plant, but I don't want to know.

care to share?

He found Osama's hiding place in Pakistan, and it's supposedly a super-solid lead. But once he got there, it looks very tribal and dangerous, and he's told that all outsiders are shot on sight. Spurlock remembers that he has a young son and doesn't think the quest is worth his son growing up without a dad.

It sounds like a cop out, but I kind of like it. It serves as a metaphorical message to the government that we're better off thinking about life and the future of Americans than focusing our attention on a criminal that did something horrible years ago and already failed at trying to locate him.

I was planning on catching this but dissappointingly it didn't open here. So I numbed my mind with a little low comedy instead.
