We had a discussion before about whats wrong with this film. But i forgot what the negatives were and mainly focused on the positives because i think its a fun movie to watch. Not Richie's best, but I'd like to bring the discussion back because the talks of Revolver are coming out and even the name sounds like its gonna be rehash of Lock Stock and this film. So do people like Snach over Lock? or visa versa?

Decent. That's about all I remember and I don't much feel like revisiting to give a better response.

Great, awesome fun. Brad Pitt is hilarious as the boxer you can't understand, and the film seems to jump from outright comedy to complete straight seriousness, sometimes in just one scene. I have to say the movie matches Lock Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels in terms of outrageousness, although I think LSTSB was funnier and had characters that were easily to relate to. Snatch though features the better acting and is more polished and well made however.

Yeah, I'll go with KF and just say it's decent. The movie makes no bones about being stylish fun for the sheer sake of it, but in that respect, it isn't quite stylish or fun enough to leave much of an impression. The expressionistic boxing match is the highlight.

Would I go out of my way to watch it again? No. However, I enjoyed it for what it was.

It wouldn't be half as fun if it weren't for the British dialect.

This is a film that seems to have every intention of being fast, fun, and energetic. But its attempts to be such are so elaborate and deliberate, as well as obvious that it wound up being almost the exact opposite.

I really just can't stand Guy Ritchie's idea of cinema. Call it a personal preference.

I honestly do not care for LSTSB at all, it was decent but it just felt it was pretty dull. I do think Snatch is a lot of fun though and it is easily Ritchie's best, although that is not saying much at all.

Vice versa. Snatch is basically Lock,Stock on steroids, with bigger names.

Bad, annoying, and rather impotent.

Fun. Just plain fun. Snappy story, quick pace, Brad Pitt was cool.

A poster child for shallow cinema.

I'm going to combine Raiders, Zac Efron and Qrazy's response and use it as my own--you know, in the vein of Ritchie's style.

Basically, if you don't like Snatch, you're either a straight woman or a gay man.

Get your head out of the gutter.

For once, gay men are being given good reputation.

Brad Pitt was highly entertaining - the rest is forgettable but it was a decent ride. I liked Lock, Stock, .. more - even makes my top 10 for that year.

I'm assuming Snatch and Lock, Stock are the ones to see. I haven't heard much good about the others.

I haven't seen Revolver. But you should watch Star, part of the BMW films series. I thought it was great.
