I'm sure Qrazy will be willing to oblige. I however think this is entirely excessive and uncalled-for!

2. The Rescuers Down Under (Butoy & Gabriel, 1990)

Not to get too curmudgeonly about this stuff, but it probably doesn't make sense to call these threads "Match Cut's Top ..." when just anyone can add any old thing they like. I mean, that shit's gotta be certified through a convoluted voting system that is argued about and debated for at least three business days.

All I can come up with is eight. I suppose I could beef-up my list if I were willing to use more than one film per director, thereby opening the Miyazaki floodgates.

Begone Dull Care (Evelyn Lambart and Norman McLaren, 1949)
The Big Snit (Richard Condie, 1985)
Bob's Birthday (David Fine and Alison Snowden, 1993)
Duck Amuck (Chuck Jones, 1953)
Fuji (Robert Breer, 1974)
Persepolis (Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi, 2007)
Princess Mononoke (Hayao Miyazaki, 1997)
Virile Games (Jan Å*vankmajer, 1988)

Do so. I insist. And, pictures. And, numbers!

8. The Maxx (Keith, 1995)

(stuff like this is also applicable, if it's one overarching narrative. I have declared it.)

Do so. I insist. And, pictures. And, numbers! That would at least knock out most (if not all) of the NFB films, which are basically padding.

A numbered top five (with pictures!):

If there's a pattern developing here, it's that I very much enjoy classically told fables.

This list is better, though, because every single film mentioned so far is better than that one.

Except for Ratatouille. Get that out of there.

I disagree. Ratatouille's the best thing Pixar's done, so far.

Eep. I haven't fully caught up with the site yet. My bad.

Still, after the nomination round should be the tiers like we've done before. Guarantee that Happy Feet would not be #1.
