No, the theatrical version is available, too. It's just a bare-bones DVD while the Director's Cut has all the extras.

I thought about that, but the Ultimate Edition is just going to be Tales of the Black Freighter edited into the film. I can do without that, especially since it is available separately through Netflix.

I am buying Watchmen and renting Coraline.

Yeah, after finally seeing Black Freighter today, I'm not sure how good it'll look edited in the film. Under The Hood was great, by the way.

Coraline 3D, w00t!

That was my thought when I rented this today on standard DVD. But even with the 3D glasses I'm not getting anything resembling 3D - nothing's coming out at me, no better depth of field...nothing. Just the movie in 2D and a hell of a lot of purple from the glasses that came with it.

He's batting a thousand for me for the period from Breathless through Week End and these are two I haven't seen yet. The descriptions sound right up my alley. Plus anything from that period with Anna Karina is on my must see list.
