I think most people dislike their voice simply because it differs so dramatically from how we hear it. As such, we imagine that it sounds weird to everyone else as well, which is obviously ridiculous... unless you really do have a terrible voice, which some people do. Everyone in this thread sounds normal to me.

I tried to figure out how to do this and failed.

If you have a mic and a PC, there's a program that comes with every computer called "Sound Recorder". It was in Accessories on my laptop (though at home it was in Accessories, and then in Entertainment or something). Record your voice and then upload it to YouSendIt. Email it to yourself and then post the link here.

That's how I did it anyway. You can also use a pair of headphones by plugging them into the microphone outlet and talking into the speaker, though the recording with my iPod headphones was practically useless.
