I'm thinking of songs that just fill you up with energy and joy; songs where you can't help but break into a smile and sing along (or at the very least tap your foot). Songs that can single-handedly lift you out of depression.

Indeed. I don't even usually like the Chameleons' upbeat songs, but that one's a corker. Props to HG's choice of KoD's "Drive That Fast" too.
