What's wrong? Is it the laughably bad title? Personally, I'm looking forward to the 49 sequels we'll have when it's a box-office SMASH HIT.

Well, 50 sequels if you count Puerto Rico.

I'm s'posed to see the screening in less than 3 hours. Thinking of skipping.

Convince me to go.

Seems like there's a film like this released every other week.

See it so you can legitimately pan it and then less people will see it overall. Also bring an Etch a Sketch to the screening to pass the time.

I have no idea why this movie has had a commercial playing every five seconds on the television. It just doesn't seem worth it.

I thought the TV spots looked pretty damn creepy and certain visuals pretty striking, and I felt this might surprise us considering the first-time director was behind that short animation film Ward 13 that got good buzz a few years ago, but reviews aren't looking good. More lame jump scares and hyperactive editing and pacing to replace any sense of story.

For this type of trash, aggressive marketing works. It targets young people who are out on weekends with no specific movie plans, arrive and see what's playing, then go, "Oh hey, I've been seeing tons of TV spots for that one. Maybe we'll check it out, see if it's any good."

Virginia Madsen was promoting this on Craig last night. She said she doesn't like to watch scary movies, but she thought this one was scary. She'll never watch it again, though, since it scared her.

That's about all she had to say about the movie. And they stayed in a hotel when they were shooting it.

She did have some nice things to say about Candyman, though.

I interviewed Madsen for Wonder Woman and she mentioned that, too. She said she hasn't done any horror movies since Candyman because she doesn't think much of the genre and had hated every horror script her agent had given her. Until she read this one, apparently, and thought it was the best she'd read in years.

Still skeptical.

You've met her, then? Craig kept talking last night about how she was "radiant," and I couldn't help but notice she did seem to be emitting light. Does she do that?

When I watch TV on Monday, I will be told that this is the "#1 Horror Movie in America!"

Sometimes I think that it would be best if only a small handful of horror films came out each year. Like the western genre.

You obviously do not stand to make money from horror films, MadMan.
