Well, kind of. I had to help track down a Fedex box delivered for him. :) He and the entire cast and crew of his next film are staying at the hotel I work at for the next month or so.
Craziness.

That's pretty awesome.
He has such a great voice. I would bring him a children's story and ask if he'd read it to me.

Apparently while I was gone he caused a ruckus with the room assignments, demanding one of the rooms reserved for one of the stars as his own.
I keep warning the desk to expect an epic meltdown at some point during his stay, but no one believes me...

Herzog's voice must be archived for the future peace and development of mankind. If we could have Werner record every word in every language, I foresee a future in which all automated systems will adopt Herzogian vocal tones. Henceforth, man will become a supremely centered race: any dystopian, man-vs-machine future that the likes of Radiohead, Blade Runner and The Matrix have predicted would be completely eradicated. Humans and Robots would unite and, as John Lennon predicted, the world will live as one.

Not a bad cast strolling through. Expect Chloƫ Sevigny to be rather flippant and "holier-than-thou," as she has been whenever me or my friends have encountered her in NYC. My favorite story is when my friend was waiting to pick up his sneakers at some dinky shoe repair place on St. Marks in the East Village and she came barreling in, demanding she be served before the line of two people. Then she grabbed her boots and jetted out of the place.

He's certainly recorded some of my favorite commentaries. Great voice.

Every celebrity I've met or spoken with has been very pleasant with me...though it may be because I refuse to succumb to hero-worship when meeting them. I never go out of my way to speak to them...if our paths cross, and we exchange a few words, so be it. Just like any other person.
I wouldn't cross three streets to speak with Christian Bale, but if I ran into him at a pub and he seemed to want to chat for a minute, that'd be super cool.
Actually, there was one less-than-nice encounter I had - with Canadian celeb Rick Mercer. What a conceited, metrosexual ass that man is.
