anyone know how to play "around the world." basically it's a silly decoding game in which each person takes turn saying where in the world -- the name of the city/country -- they want to go. there're actually underlying rules to the sequence and which place you can visit. the point of the game is to decode the rules.
how's about trying that for movies?
"so ladies and gentlemen, let's go to the movies! what shall we first see this evening? how's about sofia coppola's masterpiece, lost in translation, which only aside from davis, meg and me, we all seem to adore. then what's next? how's about the english patient, the late minghella's 1996 best picture? followed by something totally different, cameron's 1984 sci-fi classic starring the governer of california, the terminator...
"so ladies and gentlemen, which movie should we see next?"
note: at this point, even though you don't know what the heck is going on, it's more fun to just guess and name a movie. i'll tell you if your choice is eligible.
the master list (for track keeping)
1. lost in translation
2. english patient, the
3. terminator, the
4. slumdog millionaire

At first I thought KF saying "Guess I'm too dumb for this" immediately followed by him knocking it out of the park was one of the jerkiest things ever said on this forum.

that's a down side of this game. can't be played twice. i can come up with some other rules, but simplicty is what makes this one so beautiful.
