View Full Version : Match Cut Mixtape Volume 6 - Christmas

Saya
12-12-2008, 12:31 PM
The mixtapes kind of died after the last one, but would anyone else be interested in another mixtape with Christmas as the theme?

I need some fresh Christmas tunes and I'm willing to put it together if we get enough songs to fill it up. :)

If it's not allowed, one of those can be nominally mine, because I have nothing to offer in terms of Christmas songs. Nothing.

Ok, how about a winter time song or something like that? That could work as well.

Well, if you need another song...

"Baby Jesus, born to rock!"

Cool! I'll add that one to the mix as well.

Ok, I have 15 songs now for the mix. It would be great if we can get 5 more so we have 20 songs in total. I think that's a good amount for the mix. So, does anyone else want to add a song? :)

Just finished listening to the mix..love it. Awesome job with song placement. Really outstanding songs all around, I don't think there's a bad one on this comp. All selections were really good, but these were particularly sublime for me: Leon Redbone, James Brown, Chris Isaak, The Eels, The New Pornographers, Widespread Panic.

Thanks for the early present, Saya. You get extra rep for this.

My favorites of the mix (excluding my own submissions): James Brown, Chris Isaak, The Eels, The Kinks, Low, The Flaming Lips, The New Pornographers, Widespread Panic, Tom Waits, The Pretenders, Brave Combo (Ave Maria).

In other words, I pretty much liked all of it. :P

So how do I go about accessing all these songs and putting them in my itunes?

Leave no step out, as I am quite an idiot and not computer strong.

Are they on a computer already? You'll just have to click and drag.

For CDs, same deal.

iTunes is very user-friendly.

You have to click the link to megaupload provided in the first post. There, you download the file to your computer. It will come as a zipped file, so you will need WinZip to extract the songs to a new folder. Then, simply open the folder with all the songs and drag and drop into iTunes.

Yep, all the songs you drag & drop in iTunes should form an album automatically. If everything works like it should, then you won't need to change a thing.:)

That is really Dylan. It is from one of his radio shows that he did a while back.
