I adore Shoot the Moon. And Fame is my sister's favorite movie. I'm not crazy about it, but because I was forced to watch it so many times as a young girl, I could probably still recite lines of dialogue (and song lyrics).

I'm a fan of T.C. Boyle, but The Road to Wellville was crap.

The ending is like a complete 180 degree turnabout from the tone of the rest of the movie - however it still worked for me for some odd reason - maybe because I didn't get too invested in the rest of it.

The only one I've seen is The Life of David Gale (2003), which was pretty damn bad (I give it a 20), but I may try and catch Angel Heart before the consensus ends. I can't remember if my local video stores have The Wall or Mississippi Burning, though.

Angel Heart that I didn't watch for years because it had a direct-to-video type of cover, and I never heard anyone talk about it.

Then I saw it and was damn close to being amazed. It's easily his best work.
