This is the story of 1970’s action legend Black Dynamite. When “The Man” murders his brother, pumps heroin into local orphanages, and floods the ghetto with adulterated malt liquor, Black Dynamite is the one hero willing to fight all the way from the blood-soaked city streets to the hallowed halls of the Honky House.

Incredible. Very cool poster, too. Looks like a Corto Maltese cover.

Hm. The two trailers are somewhat mystifying. They have similar events shown, but the scenes are completely different, and I imagine the film will look more like the second trailer as opposed to the first, which seems a wholly-created trailer simply for marketing purposes.

Does looks pretty funny, though.

This movie's hysterical. Maybe the gags at the expense of blaxploitation production values become a tad tiresome, and it lags in the middle, but the last 20 minutes are incredible. I expect you guys to eat this up.

I agree entirely. The last 20 minutes are so laughably ridiculous that it's completely awesome.

It had some downright hilarious moments, but I apparently thought it grew more tiresome than most. The last 20 minutes, while ridiculous, weren't as funny as they should have been, in large part because the joke had been stretched so thin. It was passable entertainment, nothing more. Consider me disappointed.

I think it might be the funniest movie made last year. I loved the one-liners, and most of it was hilarious, although I agree that the last 20 minutes stretched the material almost past the breaking point. Still a really good spoof, notable considering the genre is practically dead at this point.

I thought this was pretty funny. It loses some steam in the final third, but luckily the movie is so short it doesn't get a chance to overstay its welcome.

Michael Jai White was great. Absolutely perfect for the role - he pulled off the straight-faced comedy so well.

"Fiendish Dr. Woo, you done fucked up now!!!"

Agreed that it loses steam in its last 20, but everything before that is SO funny and SO entertaining, I can look past it. There are still some funny moments in the final 20, too, though.

"First lady, I'm sorry I pimp-slapped you into that china cabinet."

I loved the moment you mentioned earlier - "I threw that shit before I came in the room!"

I also LOVED the scene at the diner where Black Dynamite and his crew go through all the Greek mythology and word reversals and the like, in order to establish the plan by Anaconda Malt Liquor. HILARIOUS.

I loved it, though I thought it would be a bit more like "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka." I really laughed my ass off when the diabolical plan was revealed.
