i find I rate him pretty critically so you could probably add a point to each rating. Some of his films get pretty repetitive pretty fast - though that's kinda the point. I usually watch these as a mini marathon but I don't think that's the best way to watch them and watching them individually is a bit awkward too.

Don Juan reminded me of a South Park episode. The Pendulum, the Pit and Hope is the best movie based on Poe's writings that I've seen. The Fall of the House of Usher relies on narration and hence subtitles if you don't know Czech - if I understood the language it would be much better.

Also check out the Brothers Quay who were heavily influenced by him.
