A new indie horror to be released on Halloween. It's gotten some good reviews, and it looks like it could be pretty interesting - I particularly like the look of it.

Trailer here. (http://movies.apple.com/movies/magnolia_pictures/splinter/splinter_480p.mov)

Plot synopsis from IMDb:

"Trapped in an isolated gas station by a voracious Splinter parasite that transforms its still living victims into deadly hosts, a young couple and an escaped convict must find a way to work together to survive this primal terror."

I love how in the trailer the guy already had is arm cut off.

Yeah, the trailer was a little spoilerific.

This airs on HDMovies on the 29th. I already have it set to record. I'm actually kind of excited for it, even though recent history suggests I shouldn't be.

My PC has some weird shit going on with Apple trailers, so I just searched this up on YouTube.

All I got was some hip hop movie with Edward James Olmos saying "Yo no me acuerdo de nada, cabrones".

Seen the Horror one. Could go either way, but I'll watch it. Goddamn spikes...

Yup. I love that poster.

The trailer interested me, so I'll probably check it out when it's released here... which is, never.

My bet...

Any characters not of the main four will die. One of each in the two pairs will die, leaving the oddly matched remaining two to stare at each other as the sun comes up.

Looks ok.

Wrong

I liked it. There's a point in the movie that makes you put your hands up to your mouth (or ears, or eyes) and makes you grit your teeth. I love that.

BTW, Jill Wagner (the chick from the Mercury ads) is fucking hot.

I've said it before, but this is a great movie, one of the best from last year.
