Dead & Messed Up
10-19-2008, 11:31 PM
Going to a costume party, but my friends really emphasized that they wanted costumes in the invite - my usual serial killer / business man / Jim-ten-minutes-ago stuff won't work.

So I'm going to try to give this whole thing a shot by going as Two-Face. I did a makeup test today.

Could be fun.

What're you up to for All Hallow's Eve?

Nice costume choice, DaMU - I've thought of doing a really elaborate Two-Face costume for a while now.

That make-up is a little too Tommy Lee Jones for my tastes, though :P I'd ease up on the purple.

As for Halloween plans this year, I'm probably just going to get together with a friend or two and have a movie night. I have to work the next morning, so I can't do anything too insane.

Definitely going to dress up somehow.

I'm gonna be Alternate Universe Snake Plissken. I've got the eye patch for continuity's sake, but after that it'll be a mish mash of items that could define an alternate Snake, such as tattoo sleeves, leather gloves, a prop AK and bullet belt, and a cigar.

I also have one of those arrow-through-the-head things, and am trying to rig it right so it will stay "through" my thigh.

Honestly I'm not planning to dress up as anything for Halloween. But I will be in town to see my friend's costume, as he's going as Walter from The Big Lebowski.

If I'm lazy, I'd go as Vampire Bill from True Blood. Not really sure yet.

I did a Two-Face once, though. Better than yours, nah nah nah.

I have to work on actual Halloween, but the night before I'm going to a dead celebrity party. I don't know who I'm gonna be yet, but I'm thinking James Dean. I'm betting Heath Ledger will be tied with Elvis for most popular costume for guys.

I have a friend who always dresses up as a recent dead celebrity, and he's got a good one for Heath Ledger

The slit-mouthed thing you did for Tiggs that one year was great.

I've convinced my friend to dress as Sarah Palin. As for me, I'm last-minute again and probably won't come up with anything.

If I had the money I'd make the Batman costume Thomas Wayne wore for a masquerade. It's boss.

I'll be passing out candy with a knife rubber-banded around my face. It's a joke between a friend and I.

Halloween proper will be spent taking my girl (and several of her friends likely) trick-or-treating. She wants me to dress up like a squirrel. Don't think that's gonna happen. Instead, since I shaved my head last friday, I was thinking of painting my head blue and going as a guy from Blue Man Group.

At most parties, I will be attending as the invisible and omnipotent God (http://whatnot.bombdotcom.net/2008/09/halloween-plans.html). In mortal form, though, I'm having a hard time deciding. It's hard to think of decent costumes for guys who have beards and don't want to be a pirate again.

A friend just suggested a great halloween costume idea for my wife & i. She's going as Juno (she's 7 months pregnant) and I'm going as headband guy.

I can dress up as a doctor and follow you around with a wirehanger.

We'll call our trio "Juno: A cinematic abortion".

That was done by Sci-Fi at Icine. He has a whole website devoted to his work. He's amazing. That one pales in comparison to some of this others. Here's his site. (http://www.fantasypumpkins.com/) Here's his current work for this year on Icine. (http://icine.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16052&highlight=pumpkin)

I'm currently Jake Gittes from Chinatown, but no one has gotten that so far. No one has even seen the movie.

No one has even seen the movie.Yeah...I'm dressed as a Palin political reference (except I went with Bill the mechanic, not Joe the plumber), and only two people out of both of my workplaces immediately got the joke. Oh well.

Here's my last minute Frankenstein costume.

The neck bolts are corks covered in tinfoil, attached with a string.

I uh, went as the Verizon guy today to work. My wife's sick, so I didn't get to show it off at a party.
