How could one score something that is beyond ratings? The truth is, most of em I've been watching since I was a little kid; it's thus impossible for me to pin down my feelings on the Marx brothers to any one number.

The Marx Brothers strike me almost as television humor. It'd be like rating individual episodes of Family Guy. They're all basically the same.

I don't find their level of comedy to be very sophisticated or meaningful. The individual gags are funny, but I have a hard time remembering which ones are in which films.
