Not to brag, but I just saw An Autumn Afternoon on the big screen and it's one of Ozu's best.

Jellyfish is playing in Busan right now but without English subs. I'd love to see it.

Le Mari de la coiffeuse is a favorite of mine.

Iron Man was lame.

Jellyfish and CSNY Deja Vu are the two I'll definitely be seeing. Taxi to the Dark Side will get a look at some point as well.

I'd like to pick up The Last Laugh but I'm not sure if KINO DVDs are Region 1 or 2.

Possession and Butterfly seem like the most logical choices...so, I'll go with them.

Kenny? "He's number one with your number two."

Huh?

In some cultures, the expression "number two" is used as a euphemism for fecal matter.

I'll be blind-buying Iron Man as well as looking forward to watching The Thing Blu-Ray on Scar's mega-tv.

...right. Scar?

Love the rose rising up out of the sea of toilet paper.

Butterfly, huh? The film that won Pia Zadora a Razzie and a Golden Globe?

I love me some Pia Zadora. One of John Waters' faves too.

Butterfly, huh? The film that won Pia Zadora a Razzie and a Golden Globe?

Yeah, that's the one.

There's so much to love about the film's box art (Orson Welles, Stacy Keach, Ennio Morricone, Pia sitting cross legged, etc.) However, it was the manner in which the letter 'B' in "Butterfly" formed into an actual butterfly that sent me over the edge. (I'm a big fan of insect-related fonts.)

Iron Man is currently all that matters in life.

I might also grab Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but that doesn't matter.

Also, Best Buy is exclusively releasing Nick Fury: Agent of Shield! Starring The Hoff!

I wanna. . . mega TV!

Not quite mega, but it is a 50" 1080p Samsung Plasma. Figured the 58" was going to be too big for the small living room.

I'll try to get you running to store. It's not only one of his best. It may be his best. It's certainly as good of a final film as you'll ever find.

What this mean?

Are you going to try to hit me with your car?

EDIT: BTW right now "Floating Weeds" is my fave of his. Some combination of improved set design and Kazuo Miyagawa made that film gorgeous beyond his others. The framing is still all Ozu but the sets make the shots much more full within the frame. The shots that combine deep focus, and high color, contrasting with thick blacks blow my mind. It's almost like what they do now with some of these comicbook films but before they could force the look with a computer, amazing.
