View Full Version : Match Cut Daily Trivia Game

So my wife created a daily trivia game for our friends and family, and it's really caught on. I think she got the idea from Icine. Anyway, if you feel like participating, follow this link:

http://my.funtrivia.com/tournament/Match-Cut-Trivia-86213.html (http://my.funtrivia.com/tournament/Match-Cut-Trivia-86213.html)

Create a profile and play today's game. Each day has a theme (the schedule is on the main page). Speed counts to prevent cheating. Each quiz consists of 10 questions. The questions are random and computer generated (meaning I don't know the answers and had nothing to do with creating the quizes). The site keeps track of everyone's score. The more people that play, the more points that are awarded to daily participants. At the close of each month the member with the most points wins and a new month begins.

Hopefully this catches on here too. It's been a lot of fun, and has led to some good trash-talking amongst my family, which is always great.

Cool. Glad to have participants. Don't forget, it's a daily thing. A few of my family members thought it was just a one-time quiz and lost points for not doing it for a few days.

The real test will be tomorrow, as the theme is Film. I set it to the most difficult setting. It's on medium with my family and I don't think I've missed a question in weeks. I'll be interested to see the difference between the two difficulty levels.

How do you people do these things so fast? It must just be a difference in the way to take a quiz. I read each question slowly to make sure I'm not missing anything.
You should've seen some of them over at icine.

I think I have come to terms with the fact that I'm awful at trivia. It's been a long, hard road though.

I say movies twice a week.

The quiz said I answered "locomotive" for the first question. It's dead wrong.

I would think the fact that I, of all people, am at #1 would make people anxious to play. But, only 6 so far?

It's sure as fun to play, but I couldn't spot a good player while watching a game.

BTW, I changed Literature to Science & Technology, for those who are still playing and didn't notice the switch. I couldn't handle any more Stephen King questions.

That's a shame, but I understand. I like the category, but not the questions that they have loaded in.

I'd suggest replacing sports, but it's amusing to me for there to be at least one day of the week where I'm practically guaranteed last place.

Definitely. The more the merrier.

And I was also sad to see Literature go. It's definitely a passion of mine. But every quiz has multiple King questions (usually Dark Tower), and I just couldn't stomach any more.

10/10 for movies.

I barely read them, and just answer, in hopes of getting a fast time, and I either screw up an easy question, or still take too long.

There have been reruns though.
