So, they were trying to make us think it was a Jesus film?

The producers said that they'll keep making more each year until one of them isn't a hit.

So does anyone on this website actually like these movies?

I enjoyed the first.

I liked the first two. I still want to see the third but that's it for me.

With the current state of the movie-going public, it won't end until 2050.

Third is awful. I haven't seen the 4th.

I liked the first one. Hated the second and decided it was as far as I'm willing to go.

I'm with 8 in that I enjoyed the first and hate the second, and on top of that I even like the third one too. But a few days ago I watched Saw IV (for whatever reason) and it was by far the worst of the bunch.

The death traps have just become boring and the idea of trying to make Jigsaw a somewhat sympathetic character through flashbacks is ridiculous. Plus the movies all end the same way now with a new character becoming his predecessor.

Really though, if I were Lionsgate I wouldn't stop making them either. They only seem to make more money each time.

Don't think that's the word your looking for.

Sometimes I think that the popularity of the Saw films is further proof of the insanely rapid decline of Western civilization, but I really don't want to give them that much credit and so I instead try not to think anything about them.

Successor...

Mind you, the way I said would actually make for an original twist in one them for once.

What, a sequel that turns out to be a prequel?

They did that already.

Saw - horribly acted movie gone EXTREEEME, with annoying editing, but an ending that did actually surprise me, even though I didn't even like it.

II - an entertaining movie, if only because it was like one big obstacle course. could have done without the story outside that obstacle course

III - so ridiculous that it was funny to watch.

IV - pointless, don't even remember a thing about it

I think the Saw series is as good as any of the classic horror series (Friday the 13th. Nightmare on elm Street, Halloween) so why not keep them going until the well dries up? I've seen them all and will probably continue to even though I haven't given a positive rating to any of them. I am always in the mood for these kinds of movies in October.

What about the 80's slasher flicks?

Rapid decline of Western civilization? When we discovered the place, we raped and pillaged. Doesn't get much worse than that.

Yes, but did we film it?

I dunno, despite the obscene violence, the Saw films are kind of painfully wholesome and decent-minded.

Trying to will myself to see #4. Eventually, probably.

Yes, but did we film it?No, but if it had happened these days we would have. That film would be advertised on YouTube and hailed as a bravo piece of movie making. Or derided as anti-American propaganda. Whichever view people would decide to take.

I have no interest whatsoever in seeing any of the Saw movies. I have better things to do with my time. Like post here :P

bwhahaha did anyone see this?? I watched it today. It actually wasn't as bad as 2 3 or 4 because...

they kinda explain how he was able to do the things he did by himself at the beginning.

So it only took four sequels and tens of millions of dollars for them to finally get the first one to make sense. Clearly the work of smart people.
