Does anybody know the best place to do this where price conversions and ridiculously large shipping costs don't able due to ordering from other countries? I guess in other words, a company that sells DVDs from other countries by companies like Artificial Eye based in America that is reliable.

Nevermind, I found what I was looking for. Feel free to delete this thread, mods.

Xploited Cinema is pretty good. I've bought from them a couple times and the DVDs arrive quickly.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking but then I noticed Amazon.co.uk sells for nearly the same price if you convert the pounds to dollars.

How much is shipping generally for Xploited Cinema? They don't really tell you elsewhere on the site. They're seemingly more expensive then I thought they would be. I mean the DVDs themselves, that is.

I honestly don't remember, but I don't recall it being out of the ordinary. The prices can be expensive if you're looking for something specific. They frequently have good sale items though.

1. Xploited Cinema has announced they are going out of business. They are horrible for UK DVD's as they jack up the price higher than any other DVD's they carry. Why? I don't know. They are great for Italian or French DVD's though and indeed have good service and fair price shipping that is quick.
2. use www.find-dvd.co.uk to search for the lowest price on a desired UK dvd. Usually Amazon.co.uk is the best option as they will remove VAT (taking off about 1-3 pounds of the price) depending on the intial price of the DVD. Their shipping is expensive if you only buy one DVD but very fair if you buy 3 or 4 at the same time. Amazon UK frequently has Artificial Eye sales where most titles are 7 pounds (14 bucks about)
Example: AE's Jean Vigo Collection (highly recommended):
lowest price about $18 at AmazonUK (around $16 after VAT tax removal). Then again, if you don't order 3 or 4 DVD's, they are going to charge you $8 shipping for that one item. If, for instance, you wanted just this DVD, then use thehut.com, where it is also $18 but they only charge $2 shipping on single items no matter the weight.
Xploited would charge you 50 for this DVD + shipping.
3. Other companies that ship to America and I've had success with: thehut.com(99p shipping per item even if it's a big box set), dvd.co.uk (now called base.com), cdwow (although now they are shit because a new ownership took them over.)
4. Also use DVDBeaver to check out a disc first if possible. Not all Aritificial Eye releases are great quality. some are horrific.
EDIT: Speaking of Artificial Eye sales, AmazonUK is currently having one:

I've bought some region-free dvds from amazon.co.uk. facets.org also sells region-free dvds I think (I know they rent region-free DVDs - I rented Zentropa and some other films from them) and they're in Chicago.
That said, my region free DVD player broke and I ended up making limited use of it. Anyway, why buy when you can rent?
