Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDDeTzTOOLQ)

I was anticipating this one, but there has to be a reason this was dumped in January. The trailer gives me new hope, though.

Hey, it's that actress.

This looks silly.

"Sometimes the things we can't change end up changing us"

I stopped watching round about here.

"Sometimes risking everything is the only choice you have."

I stopped watching right there.

I made it as far as I could, which was about 57 seconds in.

It looks like Crash, maybe, but with these people and kind of a Hallmark Hall of Fame flair to it.

So basically, something you couldn't change (my post) ended up changing you (from viewing the trailer).

My mind is blown. I must see this movie. It speaks all kinds of truthiness.

Well, you could...um, I guess.....you could....watch the, uh, trailer.

That's a choice, right?

This movie is full of shit.

On another note, I really hope SMG gets an Oscar nod or some kind of 'serious talent' cred soon. For Lucky's sake.

This movie is her best shot (and probably her last chance). The early reviews have been positive for her:

"And Pleasure becomes involved with a pop star played with stark-raving emotional rawness by Gellar, whom anyone who watched Buffy knew was good (she did some great work on that overhyped repetitive vampire show) but likely did not know, from her work in the Scooby-Doo movies, had this kind of performance in her. She achieves here what Halle Berry captured in Monster's Ball."

"Sarah Michelle Gellar may be the exception. She is the one who has to display a wide range of emotions, more than the others. Her character is quite tortured and goes through a lot emotionally and physically. Gellar is a very brave actress who took risks and put her heart and soul into it. She is sure to surprise many people."

Even a guy who didn't like the movie said the cast was excellent.

I'm so expecting Gellar's character to discover something about herself after falling down some stairs.

Wow, the reviews for this have been astonishingly bad. This Reverse Shot (http://www.indiewire.com/movies/2008/01/review_laughing.html) review says it's destined to be the best bad film of 2008, saying that it works brilliantly as an unintentional parody of Altman-esque ensemble flicks.

the movie stars numerous B-list celebrities including Andy Garcia as a crime boss named "Fingers"...

To wit, my favorite line, delivered with straight-faced gravitas by Fraser: "You can get far enough away that even Fingers can't touch you."

Is it NOT a parody? It has to be.

Worst use of butterflies since that sideshow freak swallowed live ones and regurgitated them into someone else's mouth.

Ok, that never happened, but it would probably be more entertaining than this.

Yeah, I've officially given up on this movie. It's 1/17 on RT right now.
