It's not too often that you see a completely new kind of guitar.

This thing is amazing.

It's like a whole new way to play guitar.

Infinite sustain on every string, on all frets, at all volumes.

Incredible.

Too bad they have a bunch of musicians without much taste demoing it.

Although, here is my favorite guitarist, Phil Keaggy, on one:

Yeah. And it's not a guitar synth, or MIDI. All the sound is from the strings.

It's like having an e-bow that works anywhere on the neck built into each string.

Shit yeah. I betcha I could play one mean Girl From Ipanema on that bad-boy, or make some really trippy Brian Eno type stuff. The mind boggles.

Yeah. Especially Fripp and Eno's stuff ambient stuff. It's basically the sound of Robert Fripp's Friptronics (co-created with Eno) built into a guitar, without the need for digital effects. Fripp made a guitar that, through a series of processes, had infinite sustain. If you're familiar with King Crimson you can hear his signature sound in your head - there is, or was until now, nothing else like it.

Fripp must be kind of pissed! Either that, or he already has a couple of these. :)

I want to see an episode of How It's Made on this, pronto!
