Hey all.

Back on Axis Archives, I did lists everyone once in a while, and they were quite well received.

On matchcut.org, I hung out as Remy, but never really thought about doing a list.

Now that I'm Fezzik again, well, I was thinking today how it'd be cool to do a list again, but I couldn't decide what to do.

So, I turn to you all.

Post some ideas for a movie related list for me to tackle.

Now, here's a couple things you need to know about me:

1 - I haven't seen nearly as many movies as some of you hard core watchers have. Most of that is due to lack of information (some of these movie you mention, I honestly have to look up because I've not heard of them).

2 - I admit it. I like watching mainstream films. I like the entertainment value they provide. That's not to say I don't like smaller, independent/arthouse/ limited release/whatever you wanna call them movies because there are some I adore, but, I figure I'd get that out there.

I know this is gonna open me up to flames (because it did on AA), but hey, I am who I am.

I'm interested in what you all have to say...give me some ideas and let's see which spark lights the fire.

Tata!~

That DOES spark an idea, actually. Not 20 worst MOVIES but something close...

Thanks Iosos.

Any other ideas?

The Best Movie By Letter of Alphabet.

In other words, the best movie that starts with the letter A, followed by the best movie that starts with the letter B, followed by C, and so on down to Z.

And welcome back, Fezzik!

I've always thought the top 25 cuts would be interesting. You know bone/spacecraft, matchstick/desert, face/face with wounded eye, ...

I love this idea!

I'd love to extend it to dialog free films.

Does the entirety of 3-Iron count as a "moment"? :P

Well, I thought 3-Iron was great, though not as good as S,S,F,W,S. It was far from wordless though.

Yes. My first two examples are pretty obvious, but I guess I underestimated Match Cut and the third is obvious as well. I thought someone would ask what it's from.

I'm asking.

Battleship Potemkin. A woman gets shot in the eye by cutting a shot of her face to a shot of her face with her eye all messed up. It actually had a big impact on me back during college.

After taking all the suggestions into account (and there were some great ones, I've come to a decision.

The top 25 dialogue-free moments in film.

A Winner is You :)

This is a fabulous idea. Now to do some research, set parameters, etc.

Thanks for the idea, Torgo!

It'll all be a matter of how it is defined. All films are filled with countless dialog-free moments. Without qualification, it's about like listing the top 25 shots of two or more people.
