I love this show and I'm not the least bit ashamed of it. It's hysterical. It brings even more laughs than MXC (or Kitano's Fortress or whatever the hell it's called). I'm totally hooked. I can't wait until it airs again tonight.

I watched an episode today and it was just as bad as the commericals made it out to be. MXC without the funny, no thanks.

Ugh, I can't even watch MXC anymore.

I'm strictly Ninja Warrior/Unbeatable Banzuke, thanks.

MXC's the show where they do a "comedic" dub of the Takeshi Kitano gameshow, right? From the few little bits I've caught it it struck me as painfully unfunny and maybe a little bit racist.

This is less funny than that but probably also less racist.

I'm gonna say "I survived a Japanese Gameshow" is more racist than MXC.

Is that in Wipeout?

No, it's the new reality show where they send 10 culturally ignorant middle America morons to Japan to compete in one of Toho's gameshows. It's not just a gameshow, they actually Real World these pogo-stick brainfarts sitting around in a Japanese hostel surrounded by a Japanese staff who cook for them, etc. as they make "funny" ignorant comments about Japanese culture. As if it wasn't bad enough that they're now outsourcing gameshows.

KF, it probably helps that you are watching it with your kids. We watch it as a family and it's a lot of fun.

I haven't watched it with my kids yet. But I'll be using this excuse from now on when people question my sanity.

Ouch.

I have to say I kind of like the concept of Wipeout I just hate the announcers and the general execution.

So why would you post in a thread about it?

So why would you post in a thread about it?Um, to register my opinion on shows like Wipeout? I don't see the point of your question.

Um, to register my opinion on shows like Wipeout? I don't see the point of your question.

And I don't see the point of your post. It's the same as if you posted in the Wall-E discussion thread saying "I don't watch animation, so no I haven't seen it.".

It's not like the thread is asking "Who's watching Wipeout?" and you responded.

This isn't a reality show anyway, it's a game show. Contestants compete to win $50,000. And it's new contestants every episode.
