OHH DEAR.

Last year, I went way overboard with this. Hopefully, I can keep myself in check while still snagging some decent deals.

This one is going to be quite expensive!

This year, I'm not buying the entire The Wire series at $50 a season, so that's gonna ease things. I've already made my first haul (I'm going to try to keep it smaller this year; maybe I can make my next order my last one with all my Christmas shopping). It is as follows:

Gangsters Collection (mucho Cagney!)
Walt Disney Treasures: The Complete Pluto Volume 2 - 1947 - 1951
Walt Disney Treasures: More Silly Symphonies
The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection
Darkwing Duck - Vol. 2

Surprisingly, most of the movies I wanted to buy aren't available at DeepDiscount, so I limited myself to these three:

Friday Night
Tropical Malady
Werckmeister Harmonies

Bumpity bump bump for any later comers.

And maybe I'm feeling masochistic.

I'm going to be making another order today. Sure, I'll get Playtime and They Live out of it, but it feels bittersweet.

Utu's no good?

Utu's no good?I didn't care for it. The pacing was nutty, the depictions of the two sides were pretty reckless, and the direction was just plain clumsy. The ending was actually pretty good, but I'm not sure the movie that came before deserved it.

Why is everything coming up full-screen?

Why is everything coming up full-screen?When you perform searches? There is something wrong with the site, that information isn't accurate. They are labeling movies as fullscreen that aren't even available as such.

Thanks. I hope that those HBO shows are in widescreen.

If you can wait a couple weeks, all HBO series are 50% at Best Buy on Black Friday.

Ah touche. Although, I wonder if it'll end up being the same price since Best Buy is usually a lot more compared to DDD.

Two of the Blu-Rays I ordered said they were temporarily out of stock, but my confirmation e-mail said they were in stock.

Stay tuned.....

Two of my movies were listed as temporarily on backorder when I placed them in the cart. I placed my order yesterday, and received an e-mail today from DeepDiscount saying that all of them shipped today.....

Looks like old codes are active, too. You can use each code once per account, in case you place multiple orders.

Yeah, same here. No Cleo from 5 to 7 - no Hukkle. I may still get L' Eclisse - but I don't know, seems better to just rent from the local store.

Some stuff I wanted wasn't available, so I just went with Phenomena, Tenebre, and Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime for the DS.

It's sister site, DVDPlanet, supports the sale as well. The code is 20OFFSALE.

They carry alot of the stuff DD doesn't and are cheaper priced on Criterions as well.

Upper Tiers are 21 bucks, Lower tiers are 16 (after 20% off)

Is it www.dvdplanet.com? (http://www.dvdplanet.com?) If so, I don't see anywhere to apply the discount once I add a DVD to my cart an check out. I'm trying to buy the Flying Circus set from their site.

EDIT: Nevermind. I figured it out. I just bought the Monty Python Flying Circus Complete Set for $48.29, plus $2.99 shipping. I'm about to wet my pants.
